First day of partial freeeeeedom!!

After an amazing weekend in San Diego..we received a phone call from the childrens hospital doctors stating we were supposed to meet on Monday. So, as we packed to leave the hotel...we planned our new route home.
After quality time with Austin for almost 2hours, the frustration of finding the correct freeway set in. argh!!!!! Finally, after a few turn abouts, we got there.
After parking the car, Austin & I did a quick pow wow in the parking garage. A team, facing the doctors & nurse care manager. HERE WE GO!!
after discussing all angles, all freedoms that can be accomplished, all test results, we set a game plan for the next few months. Austin is going to try part time school in the spring. continue his new blood treatment over the next couple months, wear his mask in crowded places only, and get him back into working out a little more each day. The doctors are stating he is a miracle & I know it is due to his hard work &discipline over the 6 months. One day at a Time.. He we go .. Into the new future!
As Austin went to hang out with Bobby most of the day.. We BOTH began our journey. . I was in contact with him throughout the day. It felt like a day we could have only imagined just months ago. GOD IS GOOD.... AUSTIN IS THE MIRACLE I SAW FROM DAY ONE.. I was also able to stop & visit my good friends from years of teaching at a Christmas luncheon. SO MUCH LOVE , just the prescription I needed!:)
A group exercise class was a bit tough, but did it, after 6 months off... Yow!!
All home safe & warm... Ready to start a new adventure each day! Blood tests only once a month, rather than 2xs a week.. Frees up some time to LIVE!!
I CAN ONLY TRY TO EXPLAIN HOW MUCH I LOVE AUSTIN& his brother CORY..

I hope it is done as arrangement have been made so Austin can attend the RAVENS game at Qualcomm stadium! :) as we went to Horton square for our annual crepe intake.. Took him for a little window shopping. Henry met up with us , then laid the surprise on him.. Whipped out the tickets.. AUSTIN HAD NO IDEA!!;) yea!! I was able to keep the surprise!! I'm Letting him take a nap, then send him off with Henry for his first NFL game! Btw.. DENNIS PITTA on the Ravens is a MOORPARK HIGH Alumni. Austins current high school. He's probably glad I'm not attending with him, I cant contain my excitement here at the hotel!!!

Faith in numbers..

After FINALLY creating the blog last evening, I spent a little time with Austin. We are both excited about his new blood treatment today. As My sister Stephanie called me early this morning, leaving me a message not to worry, GODS GOT THIS! I was told for a third time since yesterday to contact St. Jude. So, That is my next task. I was also given a name of a writer that had written a book for a 9 year old with a terminal illness. It has been on my heart to write a book, things just move so quickly in my small army. I'm multi tasking like crazy. NOTE TO SELF...CONTACT HIM!! Then an yet another earth angel comes our way.. Patti. She called Discovery church asking for a family to adopt & lo &behold she gets the JULIE/ AUSTIN team! So it was a lovely visit this morning as we learned a little bit about each other, shared stories & told her of our journey. My awesome cousin Leah, has looked up a name of a foundation as well. I have a couple of tasks to conquer. I guess the word is getting out!! PRAISE GOD!

We have made changes to Austins diet, putting him on an Alkaline diet, Kangen water, holistic supplementation FAITH & PRAYER, and he just finished his chemotherapy treatments.
Now, more than ever we need financial help as we continue this journey. I have been at Austin side for every Surgery, Dr. appointment, hospital stay & chemo treatment. This is a promise that was made since his diagnosis. As you can imagine, my fitness career, training clients, teaching classes, earning a living has come to a drastic halt. As we truly believe that he will be that MIRACLE standing in the Lords light, our battle against the tumors continues. if anyone knows of new foundations to contact, or any help, please let us know. We are almost out of this storm. I/We believe everything happens for a reason. Therefore, we have many people to help as we pull through this. Simply by telling our story, guiding them with food & diet information we used, etc.
Awaiting our day of FULL VICTORY over this !
Julie

GODS got a plan..

SO, we had the help of the TALBERT foundation coming alongside us, which we were told was a year long partnership. Wednesday, yesterday, we return from an early morning procedure at Childrens hospital Los Angeles, to find an email stating they are cancelling us after 5 months. Quite a shock. I tried to make sense of it, then decided God's GOT to have a plan. I just cant see it yet. Take a breath, let everyone know we are no longer connected with Talbert, and see if there is a BETTER foundation ready to help us as we continue our battle. We are halfway through & Will get Austin to 110% health restored. God has brought us this far...
Moving foward - ONWARD & UPWARD  keeping our eye on the goal!
I LOVE YOU AUSTIN & we WILL OVERCOME THIS!

LOVE,
MOM
